SARAMPAGE.COM caught up with Chris Summers for a question and answer session ...
How are you staying busy during the off-season?
The off-ice training has definitely kept me busy, but when I'm not in the weight room or on the ice I'm trying to enjoy the lake as much as I can.
What did you learn from your taste of professional hockey at the end of last season?
It's definitely a different style of hockey compared to college hockey. The players are bigger and stronger, but the puck moves a lot faster and with more of a purpose. I enjoyed and I look forward to continuing my career in the fall.
What is your focus going into Coyotes training camp?
My main focus is to compete at the highest level I can. I am excited about the new experience and hopefully I can turn the right heads.
Where do you keep the puck from the first professional goal you scored?
I actually have that one still in my hockey bag. It was exciting for me to get that first notch but I try not to dwell on the accomplishment too much.
What's your take on Michigan winters vs. San Antonio winters?
Ha I'm actually a big fan of the snow and cold weather so I think whether I'm in Phoenix or San Antonio it's going to be a bit of an adjustment, especially around Christmas time.
