The San Antonio Rampage would like to thank each and every one of their dedicated fans for their tremendous support during a memorable and record-setting season. The team set a franchise record for attendance in 2009-10 with 209,414 fans passing through the AT&T Center turnstiles to cheer on the Rampage. One of the team’s most popular promotions was KISS Rocks $1 drinks nights which boasted an average of 5,822 patrons every Friday night. Another fan favorite was Sunday Fundays in which patrons could enjoy an all-you-can-eat package and a pregame skate.
In addition, the Rampage organization desires to express its heartfelt thanks for the fans’ recognition of the Face-Off Against Kids Cancer (FOAKC) program and specifically FOAKC Night, which drew the largest crowd of the season (8,697). A result of the program, Rampage goaltender Josh Tordjman was recognized by the American Hockey League for his community efforts by presenting him with the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award as the AHL’s Man of the Year.
Another success story this season was the beginning of the Lone Star Faceoff series that features an intrastate competition between three Texas-based teams – San Antonio Rampage, Houston Aeros and Texas Stars. In their first season in the AHL, Texas took home the trophy but all teams benefited as more fans were exposed to Texas hockey through six Lone Star Faceoff games televised on FSN.
Next season we welcome a new team in Oklahoma City and look forward to seeing everyone at the AT&T Center in October!
