Rampage Reassign D McFadden to Cincinnati

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 24, 2014) – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has reassigned defenseman Josh McFadden to the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

McFadden, 22, skated in one game with the Rampage after his most recent recall on Jan. 16. He appeared in one game with the team after his initial recall in November. The blue liner has played in 22 games for the Cyclones this season and has recorded four goals and seven points in that span. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound defenseman donned the Silver and Black in nine games last season during his rookie campaign, but was held off the scoresheet.

McFadden spent the majority of his rookie year with Cincinnati, recording two goals and 12 assists in 28 games. Prior to turning pro, the Guleph, Ontario native played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 222 games and 150 points (39 goals, 111 assists). During the 2010-11 season, McFadden led the Sudbury Wolves in scoring and was third in the league among defenseman with 19 goals and 53 assists in 67 games.

The Rampage kick off their first three-in-three of the year tonight at 7:30 p.m. as they host the Iowa Wild on a KZEP / Bud Light Dollar Drink Night at the AT&T Center. Tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
