The full Rampage team recently trained alongside the Airmen and trainees from the 37th Training Wing and Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland for a fitness challenge. The fitness challenge consisted of a head-to-head matchup of a Rampage player against a Combat Airman in a series of events that include: push-up, sit-up and waist measurement followed by a six-person, 1.5-mile relay race.
The Rampage will began the morning at 8 a.m. with a mission brief by Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Greenwood. The team also toured a C-5 Galaxy aircraft with the 433rd Aircraft Wing followed by a visit to the Department Defense Military Working Dog School to learn what dog and handler teams bring to the fight.
The Rampage are strong supporters of the military and will host their 9th annual Military Appreciation Night on Mar. 3, 2012. The team will wear military themed jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Rampage Sled Hockey Team, which is the only sled hockey team in the world that is comprised of soldiers who have been injured while serving our country and are receiving therapy and rehabilitation at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) and the Center for the Intrepid.
