Rampage add four to roster

San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled forwards Joe Devin, A.J. Jenks and Garrett Wilson from their ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones. In addition, the Rampage announced that they have recalled forward David Marshall from their CHL affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.

Devin, 24, has skated in 13 games with the Rampage since his recall on Oct. 30 totaling one goal and one assist and scored his first AHL goal in his AHL debut on Nov. 5 helping the Rampage to a 6-1 victory vs. Toronto. The Scituate, Mass. native has appeared in 10 games with Cincinnati this season posting two goals and two assists. Devin played in 116 career collegiate games with Cornell University (ECAC) over the course of four seasons (2007-11) collecting 37 goals and 27 assists. 

Jenks, 21, has appeared in 16 Rampage games this season tallying eight penalty minutes. He has skated in 13 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones posting three goals and three assists. He has recorded three goals and two assists in his last three games with the Cyclones, including two goals on Dec. 21 in Cincinnati’s 5-1 win over Kalamazoo. The Wolverine Lake, Mich. native skated in 71 games with Rochester (AHL) posting eight goals and 12 assists during his rookie season in 2010-11. He was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 5th round (100th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Wilson, 20, has appeared in seven games with the Rampage this season scoring his first AHL goal on Dec. 6. He has skated in 17 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones where he has recorded eight goals and six assists. The Elmvale, Ontario native appeared in 191 career Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games collecting 94 goals and 89 assists split between the Owen Sound Attack (2008-11) and the Windsor Spitfire (2007-08).  He was a member of the 2011 OHL Champion Owen Sound where he tallied 11 goals and 10 assists in 22 playoff games.  Wilson was selected by the Florida Panthers in the fourth round, 107th overall, of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Marshall, 26, has played in 18 games with the Rampage this season tallying four goals and two assists. The Buffalo, Minn. native has skated in 11 games with Rio Grande Valley this season posting eight goals and four assists. Marshall has played in 85 career AHL games contributing 13 goals and 10 assists and appeared in 11 AHL playoff games last season with the Penguins.

The Rampage travel to Houston tonight to take on the Aeros at 7:05 p.m. at the Toyota Center. They will travel to Austin tomorrow night to face the Texas Stars at 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Park Center before returning home on Friday to host the Aeros at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Tuesday and Friday’s games will be broadcasted on Fox Sports Southwest. Friday night is a KZEP Dollar Drink Night in which fans can get $1 draft beer and $1 fountain soda.
