San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled center Wacey Rabbit from the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) and forward David Marshall from the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (CHL).
Rabbit, 25, has played in one game with Cincinnati this season tallying an assist in the Cyclones’ season opener on Saturday. The Lethbridge, Alberta native has recorded 34 goals and 47 assists in 238 career AHL games split between Milwaukee Admirals (2009-10) and Providence Bruins (2006-09). He has skated in 23 AHL playoff games contributing five goals and two assists (2008-10).
Marshall, 26, joins the Rampage for his fourth season in the AHL. Last season he split his time between Rochester (AHL), Worcester (AHL), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) and Wheeling (ECHL) posting five goals and four assists in 43 AHL games and totaling 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 28 ECHL games. The Buffalo, Minn. native has played in 67 career AHL games contributing nine goals and eight assists and appeared in 11 AHL playoff games last season with the Penguins.
The Rampage travel to Austin tonight to take on in-state rival Texas Stars at 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Park Center. The Rampage will return home tomorrow night to take on the Peoria Rivermen in a 7:00 p.m. matchup at the AT&T Center. Friday night will feature a KZEP Dollar Drink Night and an OVERTIME performance by Silent Minority.
