FAN-tastic Friday

Megan Braun and goalie Matt Climie

The Rampage are pleased to announce FAN-tastic Friday for all of our fans who “Like” us on Facebook. Each Friday throughout the offseason, we will pick one fan to highlight on both Facebook and sarampage.com. Fans will be playing for fabulous Rampage prizes each week and will be entered into a Fan Playoff. Once 20 fans have been highlighted we will begin Fan Playoffs in which all Rampage fans will vote on the match ups through Facebook. One lucky fan will be voted as the most FAN-tastic and will win a team autographed stick.

This week’s FAN-tastic Friday winner is Megan Braun!

How long have you been a Rampage fan?
This season will be my 4th year as a season ticket holder! My good friend got me started going to hockey games with her. After one year of rushing to the AT&T Center to make sure we got seats together was enough. After that, we decided to get season tickets and I have been hooked ever since!

What is your favorite thing about going to Rampage games?
My favorite thing would have to be the fights! The fights just bring a totally different energy to the game!

Who is your favorite player?
My favorite player?!?! Wow that's a hard one. My all-time favorite would have to be Josh Tordjman. He was just a great guy all around. My current favorite players would have to be Chris Summers and Matt Climie. Chris is just a down to earth guy and super easy to talk to. Matt is just a great goalie. It's really hard for me to choose just one...but I think both have a great chance in playing in the NHL!

What is your best memory from the 2010-11 season?
Pink the Rink was an amazing night! Seeing that many people there for a game was awesome! With the Rampage supporting an amazing cause is great to see!! It made it even more special because I had a close family friend diagnosed with breast cancer just a few months before the game. Another good one was ending the season on a good note…a win over the Texas Stars…not just any win but a shutout! Nothing gets better then that!

What are you most looking forward to in the 2011-12 season?
This coming season is just going to be fun! I love to fact that they are going all out with it being our 10th year! I would love to see us break attendance records this year and just keep hockey growing in San Antonio!
