San Antonio Rampage center Andrew Ebbett proved to be the lone Rampage scorer in a 3-1 loss to the Milwaukee Admirals on Sunday evening at the Bradley Center. The Rampage’s record stands at 23-12-1-0 as they share the Western Conference lead with Peoria at 47 points.

The Admirals jumped onto the scoreboard late in the first period as rookie left wing Gabriel Bourque gave Milwaukee a 1-0 advantage when his shot from the slot beat Rampage goaltender Matt Climie high glove side with 1:21 remaining in the period.

Milwaukee extended their lead to 2-0 after the Admirals tallied their first power-play goal in four contests snapping a 0-for-13 drought. Right wing Matt Halischuk fired a shot from under the left faceoff dot that cleared over Climie’s left shoulder and into the back of the net 12:36 into the second period.

The Rampage cut the deficit in half 2-1 on center Andrew Ebbett’s rebound goal 1:18 into the third period. Ebbett picked up the loose puck after Matt Watkins’ attempt was redirected into the slot by Admirals netminder Jeremy Smith and snapped a shot to the upper left corner.

The Admirals pushed their lead to 3-1 when Jonathon Blum shot the puck from the high slot which bounced off of Climie’s right arm and into the back of the net at the 6:35 mark of the final frame.

Climie stopped 17 of 20 Admirals shots while Smith made 22 saves on 23 Rampage shots he faced.

The Rampage return to the ice on Wednesday night to face the Peoria Rivermen at 7:05 p.m. for a battle between the top two Western Conference teams at Carver Arena.
