Coyotes assign Ebbett to San Antonio, Rampage make more roster moves

Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned center Andrew Ebbett to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. In addition, the Rampage have assigned center Tyler Mosienko to their ECHL affiliate, the Las Vegas Wranglers, and released center Dusty Collins from his professional try-out (PTO).

Ebbett, 27, has skated in six games with the Coyotes this season recording one goal and two penalty minutes. The Calgary, Alberta native has appeared in 118 career National Hockey League (NHL) games posting 18 goals and 30 assists. He tallied one goal and two assists in 13 NHL playoff games with the Anaheim Ducks in 2009.

Prior to his recall to the Coyotes on Oct. 19, the 5-foot-9, 174-pound center appeared in five games with the Rampage this season collecting four assists and two penalty minutes. Ebbett, a five-year veteran, has appeared in 178 AHL games tallying 54 goals and 116 assists. He recorded six goals and 11 assists in 18 AHL playoff games with the Portland Pirates in 2008.

Mosienko, 26, has appeared in four games with the Rampage since his recall from Las Vegas on Oct. 16. He has skated in 35 career AHL games collecting seven goals and 11 assists and during the 2009 AHL playoffs, Mosienko posted one goal and one assist in four games with the Rockford IceHogs.

The 5-foot-8, 175-pound center has appeared in 257 ECHL regular season games collecting 206 points (71 goals and 135 assists). He has also skated in 49 ECHL playoff games recording 17 goals and 22 assists.

Collins, 25, has skated in seven games with the Rampage this season. He has appeared in 140 career AHL games collecting 13 goals and five assists. In 25 combined AHL playoff games with the Manitoba Moose in 2009 and 2010, Collins posted two goals and three assists.

The Gilbert, Ariz. native was selected by the Tampa Bay Lighting in the fifth round (163rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Rampage host the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Wednesday’s game features an All-You-Can-Eat Weeknight with bottomless popcorn, soda, nachos, peanuts and hot dogs for $20.
