SAN ANTONIO (December 10, 2012) – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has returned on loan forward David Pacan to their ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Pacan, 21, played in three games for the Rampage since being recalled on loan from Cincinnati on Nov. 27. He was held off the scoresheet in his first game in the Silver and Black, but went on to tally two assists in his second game on Nov. 30 against Lake Erie, marking his first professional points.
Prior to being recalled to the Rampage, Pacan led the Cyclones with 13 points in 15 games off three goals and 10 assists. A sixth round pick (177th overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Pacan spent the last two seasons with the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League and played in 133 games, recording 49 goals and 77 assists. During the IceDogs playoff run last year, Pacan averaged 1.00 points per game on eight goals and 12 assists in 20 games as the club made it to the Robertson Cup Finals.
The Rampage head to Houston for an 11:05 a.m. tilt against the Aeros on Tuesday before traveling to Oklahoma City for a two-game set against the Barons on Friday and Saturday. The Silver and Black return to AT&T Center on Sunday, Dec. 16 for an Express-News Sunday Funday game against the Charlotte Checkers at 4:30 p.m.
