Pink in the Rink
The San Antonio Rampage will celebrate breast cancer survivors and raise awareness for breast health during their eighth annual Pink in the Rink game, presented by Methodist Healthcare System and benefitting Susan G. Komen, on Feb. 2. Puck drop against the Texas Stars is set for 7:30 p.m. at the AT&T Center. For the eighth consecutive year, the game will be played on pink ice and the Rampage will wear special pink jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game to benefit Susan G. Komen.
The first 2,500 fans in attendance will be gifted a free pink tote bag.
Fans can also add a pink t-shirt to any ticket for an additional $6. All T-shirt packages are sold out. Friday, Feb. 2 will also be a Budweiser Dollar Drink Night presented by 99.5 KISS and 106.7 The Eagle and fans will be able to enjoy specialty pink beer served at Rock & Brews, while supplies last.
Highlighting this year's Pink in the Rink events is a special kind of cattle drive. A pink bull statue, painted by Rampage players and local breast cancer survivors, will be roaming San Antonio with the hashtag #IPinkFor, giving San Antonians the chance to sign the names of the fighters and survivors they pink for. Fans are encouraged to take a photo with the bull and post on social media, with the hashtag and the name of the person they pink for, for a chance to win tickets to the game as well as be featured in-game.
Annually the biggest game of the year for the Rampage, the San Antonio community continues to rally around this event and has helped the Rampage raise more than $235,550 for breast cancer awareness and research efforts to date.
