Team will Auction Off Military-Themed Jerseys to Benefit Operation Comfort
SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 23, 2017) – The San Antonio Rampage will honor both former and active duty armed forces with their 14th annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by Grunt Style, on Friday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. against the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Prior to the game, an Air Force rappel team will rappel from the rafters of the AT&T Center with the U.S. flag for the national anthem. The group will then bring a game puck to the west goal for the ceremonial puck drop with the teams’ captains.
All active duty service members and veterans can receive discounted tickets at up to 40 percent off by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554, showing a valid Military ID at the AT&T Center Box Office, or visiting SARampage.com/Salute. In addition to discounted tickets, both active and retired military members can present their military I.D. at the game and receive Remember Everyone Deployed (RED) bracelets, and a Grunt Style koozie. Pickup locations can be found on the concourse outside section 112.
The team will wear special military-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game with a portion of proceeds benefitting Operation Comfort. The Rampage have raised more than $271,000 to benefit San Antonio’s military community in the past 12 years. Additionally, the Rampage will honor the Rampage Sled Hockey Team during the second intermission.

Operation Comfort is a nonprofit organization that works with wounded service members who are recovering at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio. In addition to offering a variety of programs for wounded military, including cycling, yoga, woodworking, emergency family financial assistance and automotive skills, the organization operates the Rampage Sled Hockey Team. Formed in 2007, the sled hockey team is made up of wounded military service members and captured the 2014 U.S. Sled Hockey National Championship.
Friday’s game will also be a Bud Light KISS 99.5 $1 Drink Night at the AT&T Center. Fans can purchase $1 domestic beers and sodas throughout the game.
