RAMPAGE SIGN GOALTENDER ADAM WERNER TO AMATEUR TRYOUT CONTRACT
SAN ANTONIO (March 26, 2018) – The San Antonio Rampage today announced that the club has signed goaltender Adam Werner to an amateur tryout contract.
Werner, 20, was a fifth round selection by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2016 NHL Draft (131st overall). The 6-foot-5, 198-pound netminder spent the previous two seasons playing with IF Bjorkloven in the Swedish Allsvenskan league, Sweden’s second-highest pro league, registering a 38-34-0 record, .907 saves percentage and 2.56 goals-against average in 72 games. The Mariestad, Sweden native also represented his country in the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The Silver and Black begin a two-game series against the Stockton Heat on Friday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
