SAN JOSE, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2017) – The San Jose Barracuda (7-7-0-1) registered three power-play goals in the first and second periods to defeat the San Antonio Rampage (11-6-1-0) 5-3 on Wednesday at the SAP Center.

Rourke Chartier opened the scoring for San Jose 6:20 into the first period after hitting a slap shot past Rampage goaltender Sam Brittain. San Jose took a one-goal lead into the first intermission as the remainder of the period went scoreless.

The Silver and Black tied the game at one 45 seconds into the middle frame when Brendan Ranford fired a wrister into the back of the net. San Jose took advantage of a 5-on-4 power play 3:16 into the second stanza when Jeremy Roy finished a pass from Marcus Sorensen. John McCarthy extended the Barracuda lead to two with his second goal of the season at the 6:38 mark, giving San Jose a 3-1 advantage. The Rampage cut the lead to one 16:27 into the second period when A.J. Greer finished a backdoor pass from Tage Thompson.

San Antonio tied the game 6:54 into the final stanza when Nicolas Meloche fired a shot past Barracuda netminder Antoine Bibeau. Julius Bergman recorded the game winner for the Barracuda with a slap shot 11:10 into the final period, while Filip Sandberg added an empty-net goal at 19:14 as San Jose held on to defeat San Antonio 5-3.
