San Antonio Rallies to Defeat San Jose 3-2
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2017) - The San Antonio Rampage (2-1-0-0) recorded two unanswered power-play goals in the final frame to defeat the San Jose Barracuda (1-2-0-0) 3-2 on Saturday evening at the SAP Center.
San Jose's Alexander True opened the scoring with his first career goal at the 4:44 mark, when he finished a centering pass from Adam Helewka. After more than 15 minutes of scoreless action, forward Rocco Grimaldi recorded his first goal of the season after connecting on a backdoor pass from Andrew Agozzino with six seconds remaining in the period.
The middle frame went scoreless until the 18:12 mark when forward Filip Sandberg redirected a Julius Bergman shot past Rampage netminder Spencer Martin, giving the Barracuda a 2-1 lead heading into the second intermission.
