ROCKFORD, IL (Nov. 10, 2017) – San Antonio Rampage goalkeeper Spencer Martin recorded his sixth career shutout as the Rampage (8-3-1-0) defeated the Rockford IceHogs (7-6-0-0) 6-0 at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The Silver and Black recorded four power-play goals, all in the first two periods of the game, to tie a franchise record.
David Warsofsky opened the scoring for the Rampage 10:35 into the game with his first goal of the season when his shot from the point kicked off a Rockford skate and landed in the net. Andrew Agozzino made it 2-0 with a two-man advantage power-play goal at 13:51, putting a Jordan Schmaltz rebound past Rockford netminder JF Berube. Chris Butler capped the first period with his first goal of the year, scoring on the power play at 18:57 to make it 3-0 after 20 minutes of action.
The Rampage continued their offensive onslaught as Warsofsky netted his second goal of the game after firing a one-time slap shot from the line 9:00 into the second. Mason Geertsen tallied his second goal of the season at 12:33 to make it 5-0 after two frames.
Felix Girard added a sixth goal for the Rampage just 38 seconds into the third period to close out the scoring. Martin stopped all 39 shots he faced to complete his sixth career shutout and cap off the 6-0 Rampage victory.
