Rampage Recall Goaltender Joe Cannata From Colorado Eagles
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 27, 2017) – The San Antonio Rampage today announced that goaltender Joe Cannata has been recalled from the Colorado Eagles (ECHL).
Cannata, 27, began the season with the Eagles, earning three wins in his three games played while registering a 2.01 goals-against average and .937 save percentage. Originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Draft (173rd overall), Cannata split the 2016-17 season between the Rampage, Hersey Bears (AHL) and South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL). The 6-foot-1, 200-pound netminder collected a 13-8-4-0 record with a 3.30 goals-against average and .875 save percentage in 28 AHL contests last season.
Cannata will be available for tonight’s game as San Antonio returns to the AT&T Center at 7:30 p.m. for a contest against the San Jose Barracuda.
