Rampage Host Texas Monday in Special MLK Day Matinee

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 14, 2017) – Christoph Bertschy scored a pair of goals, including the game winner with 1:23 remaining in overtime, propelling the Iowa Wild (18-18-2-1) to a 2-1 win over the San Antonio Rampage (16-19-3-0) at the AT&T Center.

After a disallowed Rampage goal in the opening minutes, Iowa began the scoring with a power-play goal at 5:26 of the first period. Colton Beck set up Bertschy in the slot and he snapped a shot over Rampage goalie Spencer Martin for a 1-0 lead.

The Rampage responded with a power-play goal of their own at 16:44 of the second when Joe Whitney punched home Cody Corbett's rebound past Wild goalie Alex Stalock to tie the score at one.

Bertschy's game winner came as he received a stretch pass from Grayson Downing and slipped the puck through Martin for the winner at 3:37 of the overtime period.
