Colorado Avalanche Reassign Goaltender Spencer Martin to San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO (March 5, 2018) – The Colorado Avalanche today announced that goaltender Spencer Martin has been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). In addition, the Rampage have reassigned goaltender Joe Cannata to the Colorado Eagles (ECHL).
Martin opened the 2017-18 campaign with the Rampage, earning a 13-12-4-0 record, .894 save percentage and 3.06 goals-against average in 30 contests. He served as a backup to goaltender Semyon Varlamov during his three-game stint with the Avalanche.
Cannata began the season with the Eagles, earning 18 wins in his 23 games played while registering a 2.08 goals-against average and ECHL-leading .935 save percentage. The Wakefield, Massachusetts native has appeared in two games with the Rampage this season, recording a 2.23 goals-against average and an .880 save percentage.
