SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 16, 2017) – The Colorado Avalanche announced today that forward Tyson Jost has been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage. Additionally, the Rampage have recalled goaltender Sam Brittain from the Colorado Eagles (ECHL), while reassigning forward Julien Nantel to the club.
Jost, 19, has recorded two points (1g/1a) in six games with the Avalanche this season. He made his NHL debut on April 9 against the St. Louis Blues after spending a majority of the 2016-17 season with the University of North Dakota, tallying 35 points (16g/19a) in 33 games. The 5-foot-11, 191-pound forward was originally drafted by Colorado in the first round (10th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
Brittain, 25, has appeared in seven contests with the Eagles this season, posting a 3-3-0 record along with a 3.33 goals-against average and .894 save percentage. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound netminder spent time with the Silver and Black during the 2014-15 season, registering a 1.76 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage in seven appearances.
Nantel, 21, has recorded three goals in 11 games with the Rampage this season. The 6-foot, 200-pound forward tallied two goals in five regular season games with the Eagles, while contributing 16 points (8g/8a) in 20 Kelly Cup Playoff appearances.
The Rampage return to the Alamo City on Saturday, Nov. 18 for a 7 p.m. contest against the Texas Stars at the AT&T Center.
