Andrew Agozzino, Rocco Grimaldi And Ville Husso Recalled From The San Antonio Rampage
SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 28, 2017) – The Colorado Avalanche today announced that forwards Andrew Agozzino and Rocco Grimaldi have been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage. Additionally, the St. Louis Blues have recalled goaltender Ville Husso(VIH-lee, WHO-soh)from San Antonio. The Rampage have also recalled forward Brady Shaw from the Colorado Eagles (AHL).
Agozzino registered a team-high eight points (2g/6a) in seven games with the Rampage before receiving his first call-up of the season. The 5-foot-10, 187-pound forward skated in nine games with the Avalanche during the 2015-16 season, and earned his NHL debut with Colorado on Nov. 22, 2014 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes.
Grimaldi’s third call-up to the Avalanche serves as Colorado’s fifth recall from San Antonio this season. He has recorded five points (2g/3a) in seven appearances with the Rampage this year. Grimaldi collected 55 points (31g/24a) in 72 contests with San Antonio during the 2016-17 season, while recording one assist in four games with the Avalanche. Originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in the second round of the 2011 NHL Draft (33rd overall), Grimaldi has tallied seven points (4g/3a) in 31 NHL games. Grimaldi and Agozzino join former Rampage players A.J. Greer, Gabriel Borque, Andrei Mironov, J.T. Compher, Chris Bigras, Nikita Zadorov, and Mikko Rantanen in Colorado.
Husso, 22, has appeared in three games with the Rampage this season, posting a 2-1-0 record along with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage. In 2016-17, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound goaltender logged a 13-6-0 mark, including a 2.37 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage, in 22 regular season games with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves. A native of Helsinki, Finland, Husso was originally drafted by the Blues in the fourth round of the 2014 NHL Draft (94th overall).
Shaw, 25, began the 2017-18 season with the Colorado Eagles, collecting eight points (4g/4a) in six contests. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward made his professional debut with the Rampage on April 1, 2017 vs. the Stockton Heat, and totaled six appearances with the club last season.
