By: San Antonio Rampage Media Relations
SAN ANTONIO (March 6, 2014) – San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled forward Trevor Lewis from the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones. Additionally, the Florida Panthers announced that left wing Steven Anthony has been assigned to Cincinnati.

Lewis, 26, has suited up in 47 games for the Cyclones this season, tallying 12 goals and 30 points. The 5-foot-11, 181-pound forward played his rookie campaign in 2012-13 with Cincinnati, finishing with 18 points off five goals and 13 assists and was third on the team in postseason scoring with 13 points in 12 games. A Lititz, Penn. native, Lewis played college hockey at Robert Morris University, where he finished his career fifth in all-time career points (83) and fourth in all-time career assists (53) while establishing a school record for consecutive games played (123).

Anthony, 22, has put up four goals and 14 points in 33 games for the St. Charles Chill (CHL) this season. He spent the last two seasons with the Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL), recording 11 goals and 20 assists in a combined 75 games. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound left wing began his career with the Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL), tallying 66 goals and 97 assists in 244 games (2007-11).

The Halifax, Nova Scotia native was a seventh-round draft pick (187th overall) of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

This weekend, the Rampage will play a Friday-Sunday home series against the Charlotte Checkers. Game time for Friday is 7:30 p.m. Sunday will be Pucks and Paws Night at the AT&T Center, as fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the game. Individual and season tickets can be purchased at the AT&T Center Southeast Box Office, by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554, or online at sarampage.com.
