SAN ANTONIO (November 6, 2012) – The San Antonio Rampage will host Face-Off Against Kids Cancer Night, presented by the Little Fighter Foundation this Saturday when the Rampage take on the Toronto Marlies at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.

The team will wear specially designed jerseys featuring the Face-Off Against Kids Cancer logo on the front. The jerseys will be auctioned off immediately after the game with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Face-Off Against Kids Cancer, the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, and the Little Fighter Foundation. The Rampage have raised more than $30,000 to benefit the Face-Off Against Kids Cancer program since its inception in 2009.

Face-Off Against Kids Cancer is a program that pairs Rampage hockey players with children from the Centers for Oncology and Blood Disorders at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, in either early stages of treatment for pediatric cancer or in remission. Through a series of social events that have included a pizza and board game party at the hospital, an ice cream social after a Rampage game, a visit to SeaWorld and the San Antonio Rodeo, the program helps Rampage players forge lasting relationships with their respective buddies over the course of the season.

The Rampage players will meet their buddies and their families for the first time this season on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

Originally initiated by the Mississippi Sea Wolves Hockey Club in 2003 and duplicated by the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies Hockey Club and the Phoenix RoadRunners Hockey Club, Face-Off Against Kids Cancer has touched hundreds of lives and raised thousands of dollars since its inception.

Little Fighter Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create public awareness of childhood cancer and advocate finding a cure, as well as providing emotional and financial support to families with children affected by cancer.

Tickets for Saturday’s game start at $10 and can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or logging on sarampage.com.
