The San Antonio Youth Hockey Association (SAYHA) is a non-profit organization founded to support and promote youth hockey. They are a diverse blend of young student-athletes between the ages of 9 and 18 that develop from a younger house league program to our more experienced Rampage divisions.
The purpose of SAYHA is:
- Inspire youth participation in amateur ice hockey, regardless of race, creed or gender.
- Practice the ideals of sportsmanship and physical fitness.
- Bring area players closer together and instruct them in the fundamentals of the sport of ice hockey.
- Encourage players and spectators to behave in an exemplary manner.
As a partner with Northwoods Ice and Golf Center, we share the responsibility to find, recruit, train and develop hockey payers in the San Antonio area.
The players for the Junior Rampage teams compete in the highly competitive Dallas Stars Travel Hockey League (DSTHL) at the Tier II level and can travel throughout North America to compete for league, state, district, and national championships. Tryouts are competitive and start in early to mid-summer. Every skater hoping to make the team, regardless of previous team status, must try out each season.
